Museums are not the favorite of tourists to visit while on a trip, but my husband thinks otherwise. So while waiting for our scheduled bus from Seoul to Songtan, hubby and I made a short walk to the National Museum of Korea. It appeared that our visit to the gallery was actually gratifying. It is, after all, the sixth largest museum in the world in terms of floor space. On the day of our visit, the facility was filled with kids, all wanting to strike a conversation or two which was to our amusement. We toured the entire three floors of the building in half a day and capped it off with a festive Korean lunch before we head out to the next city.

This cultural and architectural masterpiece was opened in October 28, 2005 and has reported to have attracted an attendance of 20 million visitors since. Admission is free to the Main Exhibition Hall and to the Children’s Museum but there is a separate charge for the special exhibition in the Special Exhibition Gallery.
