When a human spirit is put to test, a hero rises. We remember heroes because of their remarkable deeds. We remember because of such extraordinary feat. We remember and we will never forget.
Death March. An infamous time in history that has lived to its name. With an assembled Prisoners of War of about 78,000 (12,000 U.S. and 66,000 Filipino) during World War II, Death March was roughly 65 miles over the course of about 6 days with deprived food, water and above all, an extreme lack of humanly treatment. It was survived by a fortunate few.
They are not forgotten. We pay honor and respect to the heroes whose spirits were not wilted by harsh circumstances through this 8.5 mile Bataan Memorial March 2013. To our heroes, we remember. We will never forget.
I’m near by Kadena and am allowed to inside. It’s so nice that you guys did this in honor of the people who had to go through it. I wish Im still here in March. I would do it in a heartbeat.
Where you at? I will keep you posted for activities like this Rommel okay? We should have dinner with your wife once my hubby is back.
Ahihihi… I’m single and was recently got dump. :D But yeah, we can make that arrangement
Sorry to hear that Rommel. But yeah, once I get a day off from work and hubby gets back home, we should have lunch or dinner. Do not be a stranger! hehe
I’ve done it before, but I’m still going to be shy and awkward. :P I would be afraid of your husband.
LOL. Be afraid of me, not of him! Kidding. We don’t bite and we are very comical :)
Did you see the Eisa festival? It was awesome.
There were Eisa festivals everywhere a couple of weeks ago and we only attended one. Summer heat is killing us.
